Minify for Spotify Premium App Reviews

So, this is a webplayer in the form of a menubar applet. It doesnt control the full Spotify app — playing music through Minify will pause the desktop app (because of concurrent access to the same account). This may or may not be a plus depending on your intended use-case. Its a little clunky, but shows a lot of promise. Note that it has issues with multiple displays — elements of its UI (mainly the search box) are duplicated on one of my secondary displays.

Let me start by saying that the product works as described above and I am running OS X Yosemite BETA. It IS a lightweight spotify player working in the title bar as noted in description. That said, what I wanted out of this product was an extention of spotify interoperating with the desktop application. I hoped this tool would allow quick access to what is currently playing to control selections, volumes and zones and it only does this when playback initiates from Minify. I also attempted to play music on my macbook and apple tv and the application crashes. If you want something simple and lightweight without having the full and awesome features of Spotify than buy this. If you want an extention to help manage playback of your desktop app - look for something else.

Don’t buy if you are running OS X 10.10. No word from the developer.

Do not buy is you are running 10.10 it won’t work properly. Disappointed

complete rip-off… dunno why app store is hosting this broken, do-nothing app
